Abstract

Chatbot adalah perisian aplikasi yang boleh berinteraksi dengan manusia menggunakan bahasa tabii. Ia telah menjadi semakin popular dan digunakan secara meluas dalam pelbagai domain seperti perkhidmatan pelanggan, e-dagang, pendidikan, penjagaan kesihatan dan hiburan. Walau bagaimanapun terdapat cabaran dan batasan penting yang perlu ditangani dan diatasi oleh Chatbot untuk menjadikannya berfungsi dengan lebih baik. Kertas ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai keadaan semasa penyelidikan dan penggunan Chatbot yang meliputi aspek definisi, sejarah dan klasifikasi Chatbot; teknik dan kaedah utama dalam pembangunan dan penilaian Chatbot; aplikasi utama dan contoh penggunaan Chatbot dalam senario dan bidang yang berbeza; kelebihan dan kelemahan Chatbot untuk perniagaan dan pelanggan; masa depan dan trend penyelidikan serta inovasi Chatbot. Kertas ini juga membincangkan beberapa Chatbot universiti awam dan swasta di Malaysia termasuklah pengggunaan Chatbot dalam laman web Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS). Kertas itu merumuskan beberapa cadangan kepada pereka bentuk, pembangun, penyelidik dan pengguna Chatbot.

Chatbot are software applications that can interact with humans using natural language. It has become increasingly popular and widely used in various domains such as customer service, e-commerce, education, healthcare and entertainment. However, there are also important challenges and limitations that Chatbot need to address and overcome. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research and use of Chatbot covering the following aspects namely: - definition, history and classification of Chatbot; Key techniques and methods in Chatbot development and evaluation; key applications and examples of the use of Chatbot in different scenarios and fields; advantages and disadvantages of Chatbot for businesses and customers; future and trends in Chatbot research and innovation. The paper also discusses some of the chatbots in the private and public university website. The paper summarizes several recommendations to designers, developers, researchers and users of Chatbot.
